Two long, near-mirrored triangular wings, their cavities lined edge to edge with amethyst points. Color runs from deep grape — almost black at the darkest tips — out to soft lavender at the rims, where a blue-grey agate band traces each wing like a drawn outline. A mass of white quartz sits at each wing tip, two bright counterpoints. Up close, thousands of crystal faces scatter light like crushed diamond over the deep purple ground.
A "butterfly" is the rarest way to present an amethyst geode: one cavity, sawn into two halves, opened outward like wings — every ridge on the left answered by its mirror on the right, because both grew as one. This pair spans nearly a meter, a symmetry the earth composed and a saw merely revealed.
