Our Standards

A small collection, held to a high standard.

Most minerals don't make it to Olemina. We turn away pieces with uncertain origins, undisclosed treatments, or visual character that doesn't hold up under close inspection. What remains are the specimens we would keep ourselves.

Global sourcing, direct relationships only

We source through direct relationships with suppliers and mineral holders across the world's premier producing regions — China, Brazil, Madagascar, India and others. No markets. No middlemen.

Mine-level provenance on every piece

Every specimen is documented to the specific mine of origin and cross-referenced against published records. If we can't verify it, we don't list it.

Full disclosure, without exception

Treatment status — stabilised, heated, irradiated or untreated — is stated on every listing. Condition is graded against a published standard.

Museum-grade selection, not museum-grade price

Every piece must meet Fine Specimen grade or above: no undisclosed repairs, no damage to the primary crystal, no locality claims we can't support.

Limited inventory, by design

We don't move volume. A batch of twenty specimens might yield three worth listing — every piece on the site earned its place.

If we wouldn't keep it, it doesn't ship

Every piece passes one final question before it reaches you — would we keep this ourselves? If the answer isn't a clear yes, it never goes on the site. That single standard is why what you find at Olemina is what you find here, and nowhere else quite the same.

About Olemina

A small collection, not a warehouse.

Olemina is a curator and dealer of fine mineral specimens — natural, uncut crystals chosen for exceptional colour, form and condition rather than cut into gemstones. We keep a small, rotating collection rather than a warehouse: a batch of twenty specimens might yield three worth listing, and everything we publish has earned its place by clearing the standards above.

Those specimens go to three kinds of people. Collectors who want provenance they can trust and pieces that reward close looking for a lifetime. Interior designers placing a single defining object in a room. And companies giving a gift that outlasts the occasion. Each piece is one of a kind, documented to its mine, and ready to become the quiet focal point of wherever it lands.

We buy close to the source through direct relationships across China, Brazil, Pakistan, Peru, Mexico, Morocco, Namibia and beyond — better selection, fairer pricing, and provenance we can stand behind. Every order ships fully tracked and insured, packed to museum standard, dispatched within 3–7 business days, and backed by a straightforward 14-day return.
