The right mineral doesn't decorate a room.

It defines it.

Interior & statement pieces

One natural object that anchors the whole room.

A statement mineral specimen is a large, natural crystal formation chosen to define a space the way a sculpture or a significant artwork would except it is one of a kind and millions of years in the making. As interiors move toward natural materials and quiet luxury, a fine specimen has become the object designers reach for when a room needs a centre of gravity.

Olemina sources large specimens to brief scaled to your sightlines, matched to your palette, and placed to be lit and lived with. Every piece is documented to its mine, honestly graded, and delivered packed to museum standard. The result isn’t decoration; it’s the quiet focal point everyone notices and no one else can own twice.

Good to know

Specifying a specimen for a space.

It's a large, natural crystal formation chosen to anchor a space the way a sculpture or a significant artwork would. Unlike mass-produced décor, it is one of a kind, millions of years in the making, and carries real provenance — which is exactly what gives a designed room its sense of permanence and quiet authority.

As a rule of thumb, a living room or reception reads best with a piece 30–60 cm across on its own plinth or console; a study, office or boutique-hotel room suits something 15–30 cm on a shelf or desk. We size every recommendation to your sightlines and furniture during the consultation rather than guessing.

Give it its own ground — a console, a lit niche, a low plinth, or a clear stretch of shelf — and light it from the side so the crystal faces catch the light. A specimen wants breathing room; crowded, it becomes décor, but on its own it becomes the focal point of the room.

Very little. Keep them out of direct, prolonged sunlight (some species, like amethyst and fluorite, can fade), dust softly with a dry brush, and avoid knocks to crystal terminations. We tell you the specific needs of your species on delivery, and every piece ships with handling notes.

A $20 consultation deposit starts it. You tell us the space — room, style, sightlines and budget — and within 48 hours we propose specimens matched to it, with sizing and placement guidance. If nothing fits, your $20 carries to a future order; if it does, it comes off your purchase.

Yes, regularly. We work to a designer's brief, mood board or spec — supplying provenance documentation and high-resolution images for client presentations, and coordinating delivery to site. Trade enquiries are welcome, and we can hold a shortlist against a project timeline so the right piece is ready when the room is.
