Visual description

The lower slopes are dense sprays of fine, near-pure-white crystal needles. Ascending, the sprays give way to stouter prisms, and the palette shifts — cream, then butter-yellow, then honey-gold at the crown, the iron staining richest at the top. Needle-spray texture and glassy prism faces alternate the whole way up, so the tower reads differently at every level.

This is not one crystal — it is a city of them. Dozens of radiating quartz blossoms stack and climb into a forty-eight-centimeter tower, frost-white at the base and warming upward through cream into honey where natural iron staining soaked the upper stories. The trade name is affectionate and accurate: it rises like a great crystalline pineapple.

Why collectors want this

Large quartz is common; large quartz with this much event is not. The vertical white-to-honey gradient gives the tower a narrative direction, and the sheer count of individual blossoms rewards unlimited close viewing. At sixteen and a half kilos and nearly half a meter tall, it anchors a room.

Living with it

Light it from two heights: one lamp low to frost the white base, one higher to make the honey crown glow. Position it once and leave it — always move with two people, lifting from the base.
