The gold runs honey to amber across the face, deepening in the hollows, brightening across the crests. The clustered domes — dozens of them, concentrated through the mid and upper face — give the plane real topography: light rakes across them and casts true shadows, so the geode reads differently at every hour of the day and from every angle of approach. The pale rim and near-black shell hold the composition the way a bezel holds a stone.
Some minerals are objects. Past a certain scale, they become places. This is a standing geode taller than a person — a stone gate whose entire inner face, top to bottom, is paved in golden crystal: millions of fine citrine points laid like sugared light, swelling here and there into clustered domes that rise off the surface the way dunes rise off a desert floor. The outer shell is dark volcanic rock; the rim, a pale stone border drawn around the gold like a frame the earth made itself. Walk past it and the whole face glitters in sequence. Stand before it and it simply glows.
Citrine geodes at hand scale are common gifts; at furniture scale they are uncommon; at two tonnes, standing height, with an unbroken crystallized face, they are counted in the dozens worldwide at any given time — the supply is governed not by demand but by what the ground happens to yield and what survives extraction and transport intact. A piece of this scale is not decoration. It is the anchor of an interior: the object a lobby, gallery, residence, or headquarters is arranged around.
At this scale, placement is planned around the piece rather than the other way round — a lobby, gallery, or entrance where it can stand freely and be approached from several angles suits it best. Site assessment, rigging, and installation are arranged directly with our team as part of the enquiry process.
