Grey-white to silver crystals blanket the whole undulating surface — sharp apophyllite forms mixed with fine crystalline frost, so the plate glitters like crushed diamond from every angle. Scattered through the field, brick-pink to flesh-pink zeolite clusters supply warm punctuation, with one butter-yellow crystal group near the top. The relief of mounds and hollows keeps the light moving.
India's basalt country is the world's great factory of apophyllite and zeolites — minerals that crystallized in the gas pockets of ancient lava flows. This broad plate carries the classic pairing at scale: a rolling field of silver-white apophyllite, its glassy faces flashing like fish eyes (the trait behind the mineral's name), with warm pink zeolite clusters nested across the slopes.

Overhead or slightly angled light lets the glassy apophyllite faces flash across the whole undulating surface rather than in one spot; the relief does the work, so avoid flat frontal lighting that erases the mounds and hollows.
